Mission › Nepal
Nepal is the birthplace of Buddha. Not surprisingly, Buddhism and Hinduism are the main religions of the country while Christians make up only 3-5% of the population. Christian evangelism is not legally permitted in Nepal. However, missionaries still risk persecution to spread the Christian faith. As a result, Christianity is growing fast in the country.
Life in Nepal is hard. There are human rights issues, which include unlawful killing, torture, and arbitrary detention. Furthermore, the Nepali suffer from poverty, lack of opportunities, political instability, and natural disasters. Our missionaries from Dunamis led revival services sponsored by ten local congregations. Many accepted Jesus Christ as their savior even though this choice can result in religious persecution.
